 Biographical Sketch

James Guilford is a writer, orator, and educator. He has a BA from Emory University and an MA from Columbia University.  When he is not tapping away at his keyboard, Guilford enjoys reading, jogging, or exploring cities.  Guilford is a native of Atlanta.  He lives in New York City.   

 

 

 

 

 Publishing

Guilford's fiction and essays have appeared in Identity Envy, The North American Review, and FlashQuake. Guilford has written articles on schooling and parenting for eHow, AOL, and PBS Kids Zone. Career as an Educator

As an instructor, administrator, and curriculum developer, Guilford has worked in education for nearly a decade.  He has worked in top independent schools, including the Friends School of Atlanta, University High School, and The Northfield Mount Hermon School.  Additionally, Guilford has led workshops, written articles, and written curricula on various topics related to education.
 
 
 
Workshops and Speaking
Guilford has facilitated workshops for the Bronx Academy of Letters, Future Giants Youth Leadership, the New England Educational Opportunity Association, and other organizations.
